Annual Hospitality Industry Event Moves to Eugene
Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association Anticipates Statewide Attendance at Convention
February 9, 2012 - Wilsonville, OR
Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association (ORLA) has changed venues and cities for its annual Convention this year. Previously held in Bend, the annual event will take place at the Hilton Eugene & Conference Center on September 23-24, 2012 with expected attendance of over 400 industry members. The statewide event is the largest business forum in Oregon specifically for foodservice and lodging professionals.
“We’re excited to bring ORLA’s Convention to Eugene” said Steve McCoid, president and CEO of the Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association. “We’re working with Travel Lane County and the Hilton to create different activities for our attendees in an effort to provide the best experience possible.”
ORLA’s Convention serves as the association’s annual gathering providing a full agenda of educational programs – from operations to marketing - geared toward helping the hospitality industry build their businesses. It also offers an opportunity for restaurant and lodging providers from around the state to engage in conversations with industry leaders on critical issues.
The Hilton Eugene & Conference Center is Eugene’s premiere hotel in the heart of the city. The hotel boasts 269 well-appointed guestrooms and suites along with 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting/function space accommodating as many as 1,800 attendees. The Hilton is one of a small number of properties in the state with facilities and rooms available for larger conventions, which was a determining factor for ORLA’s selection this year.
