2014 ProStart H.S. Culinary Championships

Students representing 17 schools from around the state competed in the 2014 Oregon ProStart High School Culinary Championships presented by Boyds Coffee® in Portland. This statewide event not only showcased the talent and enthusiasm of our future leaders in the industry, but also celebrated the hard work of students, teachers and mentors.
Congratulations to Seaside High School's culinary team who took first place overall. This is the second year in a row for Seaside. Their menu included: Smoked Seaside razor clam chowder, Northwest beef tournedo Napoleon and bread pudding.

The competition challenges student teams of four to create a three-course meal in one hour, using only two butane burners. The results were amazing with impressive skills and teamwork shown by all of our student competitors.
