The general public is welcome to attend this event. Below was the 2014 competition schedule. The 2015 schedule will be similar, with the final outline posted in January, 2015.

7:30-9:30 a.m. Continental Breakfast (ProStart participants with tickets)
8:00 a.m.  Team/Student check-in begins (registration area)
8:30 a.m. Event open to the public
9:00-2:20 p.m. Culinary Competition
11:00-5:00 p.m. Meal Displays
12:00-2:00 p.m.  
Lunch (ProStart participants with tickets only)
1:00-5:00 p.m.
Exhibits & Culinary Demonstrations
1:30-3:30 p.m.
Mock Interviews (ProStart students only)
3:00-4:40 p.m.
Judge's Feedback (ProStart teams only)
5:00-6:00 p.m.
Awards Ceremony

There will be 5 heats with progressive start times. Stations include:

    • Menu & Costing
    • Product Check-in / Safety & Sanitation
    • Station Pre-Set 
    • Knife Skills (displaying 12 cuts) & Poultry Fabrication
    • Production Pre-Set
    • Production of a 3-course gourmet meal
    • Cleanup

The general public is welcome to watch the competition (no charge) starting at 8:30 a.m. Please note, there is no speaking to the teams allowed while they are competing (they may lose points).
