Guest Service Gold®: Tourism Oregon
Guest Service Gold® is a professional development program designed to elevate the skills of Oregon’s hospitality workforce. Through engaging training, participants learn how to anticipate guest needs, exceed expectations, and confidently resolve challenges—key competencies that set true professionals apart. Successful graduates earn the internationally recognized Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) credential, a valuable distinction in today’s competitive hospitality industry.
This program was developed in partnership with the Oregon Hospitality Foundation and Travel Oregon, ensuring it reflects both global service standards and the unique spirit of Oregon hospitality.
START (Skills, Tasks, and Results Training®)
AHLEI's START Training
Give your hotel & lodging employees a solid foundation in line-level training from AHLEI. The START program offers general foundational knowledge and soft skills training needed in the hospitality industry. Included in each course are concise instructions for training new and prospective employees on how to perform 16 key tasks correctly.
NATIONAL AFFILIATE SCHOLARSHIPS
AHLA Foundation
- Academic Scholarships – Open to all hospitality-related degree seeking students enrolled in a US college or university.
- Professional Development Scholarships – Available for current lodging employee working a minimum of 35 hours per week at an AHLA member hotel and at least 12 months of work experience.
NRA Educational Foundation
Each year, the NRAEF awards over $1.2 million in scholarships to students pursuing restaurant, foodservice, and hospitality careers—more than $26 million granted since 1987.
