ServSafe® Manager Training

Build a Culture of Food Safety: ORLA’s ServSafe® Manager course delivers comprehensive food safety training for managers, meeting Oregon Food Code requirements for “Demonstration of Knowledge” and “Person in Charge.”

Learn key principles like preventing foodborne illness, HACCP, food safety systems, and training staff effectively. Certification is valid statewide for 5 years and fulfills the food handler requirement. Book is available in English and Spanish (classes are taught in English).

Registration & Payment

To register: Click the calendar to find your class, click Register, and complete payment. Registration closes 2 weeks before the class or when full.

ORLA members: Log in first to receive your discounted rate. Call ORLA at 503.682.4422 to confirm your membership status if unknown.

Exam Only or Retest (needing to retake the exam only):

$85 (members)
$100 (non-members)

Refunds: No refunds for class or online course packages. You may reschedule or transfer your registration (including book) to another person.

Class Preperation & Retesting

Class Preparation: Pre-study of the ServSafe® Manager book is required. Bring your book and confirmation sheet to class. Need special accommodations? Contact ORLA at 503.682.4422 at least one week before class for assistance.

eCertificates: Digital ServSafe® certificates are free and meet ANSI standards. Access them once your exam is graded. View eCertificate FAQs.

Retesting Policy: You may retake the ServSafe® exam twice within 30 days of your first attempt. After two retakes, a 60-day wait is required. A maximum of 4 attempts per year is allowed. Expired certifications must be renewed by retaking the full class and exam—no simple renewals.
