Championing Hospitality Across All Levels
Statewide Advocacy
ORLA's Government Affairs Team is actively engaged in the Oregon Legislative Session each year, working with our Government Affairs Committee and focusing on several key issues including protecting local lodging tax revenues, streamlining labor policies, and other priorities.
Local Advocacy
ORLA has helped develop several local leadership teams that help keep members engaged and informed on local-level issues. Meals taxes, short-term rental regulations, and TLT increases are just a few of the local issues we engage with members on around the state.
Federal Advocacy
ORLA works closely with national affiliates to fight for federal policies and support efforts that help restaurants, lodging operators, and employees thrive in a safe and prosperous business environment. It's critical that Congress hear your stories on how these policies impact your business.

Engage in Advocacy
Your involvement truly makes a difference. As owners and operators, you have tremendous stories to tell and real-life experiences to share. The bills and laws elected officials consider can have a huge impact on your business and they need to hear how–straight from you.
There are a number of opportunities to engage in advocacy with us, whether as a State Capitol Hill Runner or signing up as a Hospitality Advocate, visit the Get Involved page to learn more.
Support the PAC
At ORLA, we work to make sure the hospitality industry is well represented at meetings across all levels of government, but we need your help to really make a difference when it comes to blocking bad regulations and laws and fighting for good ones.
Donate to ORLAPAC! This bipartisan PAC supports legislators who have backed industry priorities and challengers whose election will advance our agenda. Funds help elect candidates committed to growing Oregon's hospitality industry.
