Through the Oregon Hospitality Foundation and national partners, we also support professional development and certification across the industry. And in partnership with OHF, AHLEI and the National Restaurant Association offer internationally-accredited training and certifications for every career stage in hospitality.
State Mandated Training & Certifications
Oregon Food Handler Card
Online course and exam to satisfy the required Oregon Food Handlers card. Valid for 3 years. Certificado En Manejo De Alimentos De Oregon en español.
Oregon Alcohol Server Permit
Online course prepares you for taking the required alcohol server permit test from the OLCC. Developed by Oregon's hospitality industry.
ServSafe® Manager
Classroom training & certification meets the "Demonstration of Knowledge" and "Person in Charge" requirements of the Oregon Food Code. Member discount.
Critical Training & Professional Development
Customer Service Training:
Guest Service Gold® Tourism Oregon teaches how to exceed guest expectations and handle challenges—earning a Certified Guest Service Professional credential. Also in Spanish. ORLA members get the full bundle for $40.
Human Trafficking Prevention:
ORLA partners with Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST) to offer free, proven training that helps staff identify and prevent trafficking—making hotels safer and less vulnerable to exploitation.
De-escalation & Threat Response:

Accredited Certifications
In partnership with the Oregon Hospitality Foundation, we offer internationally accredited training through the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) and the National Restaurant Association. From entry-level to management, these programs support career growth at every stage.
