ORLA Grant Opportunities for Members Interested in Advocacy
Your association is making a more intentional effort to bring rural voices to both our state and national capitals. Interested ORLA members can apply to receive grant funds to assist with costs incurred to travel and stay in Salem and Washington DC. If you are interested in recovering costs associated with engaging lawmakers here in Oregon or in Washington, D.C., we invite you to apply for available funds as noted below. ORLA HOSPITALITY CONFERENCE
September 13-15, 2025 | Seaside, Oregon
 
The annual ORLA Hospitality Conference will take place this year in Seaside at the Seaside Convention Center. The multi-day conference brings together ORLA members from around the state for networking opportunities, vendor engagements, keynote speakers, and breakout sessions. Grant awards will be considered for any ORLA member interested in participating and are designed to cover 2 nights of lodging, mileage reimbursement, and conference registration.

ORLA Hospitality Conference

​ORLA TASTE OREGON LEGISLATIVE RECEPTION & CAPITOL DAY
January 29, 2026 | Salem, Oregon

The Taste Oregon Legislative Reception annually draws 250-300 people for a hosted social in Salem during active legislative sessions. Our goal is to serve "Oregon Hospitality" to legislators, state agency directors, commissioners, and association members to help build relationships and discuss key issues impacting Oregon’s hospitality industry. Scholarship dollars have been made available to cover ground transportation costs and a one-night hotel stay. Grant awards will be considered for ORLA members who live over 100 miles away from Salem and would like the opportunity to engage in the event.

Taste Oregon Legislative Reception

​NATIONAL RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION PUBLIC AFFAIRS CONFERENCE
March 10-12, 2026 | Washington, D.C.
 
The annual NRA Public Affairs Conference provides an opportunity for ORLA members to engage with federal elected leaders in Washington D.C. while also participating in conference programming produced by the National Restaurant Association. Participating members will be joined by the ORLA Government Affairs team. Grant awards will be considered for any ORLA member interested in participating in the event. Grant awards will not exceed $2,000 and are designed to assist in covering the costs of airfare, lodging in D.C., and conference registration.

Public Affairs Conference

AHLA HOTELS ON THE HILL
Spring 2026 | Washington, D.C.
 
The annual AHLA members brings hoteliers from across the country for the AHLA Hotels on the Hill to meet with Members of Congress, network with industry leaders from across the country, and access insider updates on the most pressing issues impacting hotels. Participating members will be joined by the ORLA Government Affairs team. Grant awards will be considered for any ORLA member interested in participating in the event. Grant awards will not exceed $2,000 and are designed to assist in covering the costs of airfare, lodging in D.C., and conference registration.
