PROSTART®ProStart® is a nationwide career technical education (CTE) program supported by the Oregon Hospitality Foundation that involves over 7,700 Oregon high school students from 48 schools around the state who learn from an industry-derived, competency-based curriculum that teaches culinary techniques and restaurant management skills, coupled with real-life restaurant sector experiences. With local and national support from industry members, educators, state associations, and the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF), ProStart reaches more than 165,000 students in 1,830 high schools across 50 states - fostering prosperity in the restaurant industry by developing the next generation of industry leaders. Volunteer as a Judge and join industry peers, chefs, and partners judge the competitions at the annual Oregon ProStart Championships. High school ProStart teams from across Oregon gather to compete in two distinct events: the Culinary Competition and the Management Competition.
