HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY TRAINING & EDUCATIONThe Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association (ORLA) is one of the largest providers of food handler, alcohol server and ServSafe curriculum in the state. Our training products were created by hospitality professionals, offering quality, industry-backed training to meet your needs. The Oregon Hospitality Foundation supports the industry’s education and training needs through its development of Guest Service Gold® training and certification and partnerships with our national affiliates, AHLEI and NRAEF, to provide training and certification opportunities.

State Mandated Training & Certifications
OREGON FOOD HANDLER: Online course and exam to satisfy the required Oregon Food Handlers card. Valid for 3 years. Certificado En Manejo De Alimentos De Oregon en español.

OREGON ALCOHOL SERVER: Online course prepares you for taking the required alcohol server permit test from the OLCC. Developed by Oregon's hospitality industry.

SERVSAFE® MANAGER: Classroom training and certification that meets the "Demonstration of Knowledge" and "Person in Charge" requirements of the Oregon Food Code. Certification is valid statewide for 5 years.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING PREVENTION TRAINING: ORLA partners with Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking (BEST) to provide FREE human trafficking training for ORLA members and their staff. BEST’s training is a proven tool that helps victims of human trafficking escape exploitation and helps trained hotels become less hospitable for traffickers. INDUSTRY TRAINING & CERTIFICATION: In partnership with the Oregon Hospitality Foundation (OHF), the American Hotel & Lodging Association Educational Institute (AHLEI) and the National Restaurant Association provide a comprehensive suite of educational resources enabling upward growth and learning in the industry from line level to management training solutions; all are internationally-accredited.
